Description:

Request a Grant Writer

Grants ranging from $1,000 to $9,999 to Indiana nonprofit organizations, units of government, and educational organization for education, arts and culture, environment, human services, and community development programs that benefit the residents of South Madison County.

While your organization does not need to be physically located in these townships, the proposed project must benefit residents of the Madison County townships of Adams, Fall Creek, Green or Stony Creek.

Estimated Size of Grant:

Grant requests should range from $1,000 to $9,999 for this cycle.

Term of Contract:

Foundation grant funds must be expended or committed during one year following award. Participants acknowledge that failure to use funds for the purpose awarded could result in an obligation to repay grant money.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Only 501(c)3, tax-supported, or educational organizations are eligible to submit a request for funding. However, collaboration among community groups is encouraged. Other entities such as private, for-profit, faith-based, grassroots community organizations or service clubs may partner with one or more eligible organizations to propose collaborative programs. For such programs, the eligible organization will act as project leader and fiscal agent for the collaborative project. Awards involving groups will require a collaboration statement signed by participating parties. Parties should participate in only one application.

Pre-Application Information:

The application deadline is 4:00 PM, September 1st. Late applications will not be considered regardless of the postmarked date.

Grant recipients will be announced at a public reception the evening of September 19th at the Pendleton Artists Society gallery. Please mark your calendar and plan to attend; grant recipients will have the chance to talk about their project and all applicants will have the chance to speak with other funders in attendance. More details will be available after September 1st.

Organizations with active South Madison Community Foundation Grants may apply, but must have an up to date interim grant report on file with the Foundation.
