Grants of up to $1,000 to Indiana nonprofit organizations and schools in eligible regions for youth-led community service projects that benefit the environment and conserve natural resources. Public schools are required to submit an approval form prior to applying. Funding is intended to support conservation and environmental activities in Carmel or Clay township.

The Carmel Green Teen Micro-Grant Program was created in 2009 to empower young people to take action by funding youth-driven projects that reduce pollution, conserve natural resources, save energy, or restore native habitats or species.

Up to $1,000.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Projects must have a Sponsoring Organization such as the Scouts, a religious organization, school or another organization, which is able to show proof of nonprofit status.

Pre-Application Information:

Emailed applications are due by midnight, February 21, 2020. Applications that are printed out and dropped off are due by 4:00 PM on that date.

Special permission is required for projects to take place at Carmel Clay Schools. The Administrative Approval Form for Carmel Clay Schools allows the upper administration to evaluate project feasibility within the schools. It is due Jan. 24, 2020.

Preference may be given to groups that secure at least 10% of total project costs through vendor discounts, in-kind donations, or monetary donations.
