Grants typically ranging from $500 to $15,000 to California, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, West Virginia, and Wisconsin nonprofit organizations to benefit communities in which the funding source does business. Funding is intended for initiatives in the areas of youth and education, civic and community development, environment and conservation, and arts and culture.

Eligible areas include: Beloit, WI; City of Industry, CA; Columbus, MS; Corsicana, TX; Elk Grove Village, IL; Ellwood City, PA; Garland, TX; Garyville, LA; Greensboro, NC; Huntington, IN; Irving / Fort Worth, TX; Jacksonville, FL; Joliet, IL; Martinsburg, WV; McDonough, GA; Midland/Odessa, TX; Naperville, IL; Sugar Land / Fresno, TX (Fort Bend County only).

Ecolab's four strategic areas of giving are:
- Youth and Education: Programs to promote youth development, particularly youth at-risk
- Civic and Community Development: Affordable housing, work readiness, crisis assistance and hunger relief
- Environment and Conservation: Hands-on environmental learning programs
- Arts and Culture: Arts education for children and youth, as well as support for museums and the performing arts

Estimated Size of Grant:

Generally based on funding trends most of the grant awards are in the range of $500 to $15,000. Yet, all regions are unique and some regions may not get as many applications as others. Ultimately the Regional Council may award higher amounts if funds are available.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for an Ecolab NPO grant, a 501 (c) 3 organization (per the IRS Pub 78) must provide services in one of the regional geographies and fall within one of the four strategic areas of giving listed above.

Restrictions: Contributions will not be made to or in support of:
- Individuals
- Sectarian/denominational religious organizations, except where funds are to be used in direct interest of the entire community
- Loans or investments
- Political/lobbying organizations
- Industry, trade or professional association memberships
- Disease-specific organizations
- Sports/athletic programs and facilities
- Fundraising events/sponsorship

Important Dates To Remember:

a. Deadline to submit applications on the portal is Friday, August 2, 2019, at 11:59 p.m. central time.
b. Ecolab Regional Councils will conduct application reviews through the end of September.
c. Decisions, Notifications, and Payments to NPO will occur in October/November 2019 via email.
