Pre-Application Information:

Deadline for Application: September 5, 2019 by 10:59 pm CST - This is the DUE date without exception.

Resident Research Project grants now have 3 deadlines (March, June, and September) this year. Please choose the deadline that most aligns with your research rotation. Residents will be allowed to submit one application per grant cycle (year).

All grant applications must be submitted electronically through proposalCENTRAL for funding consideration. To access the Request for Application, you will need a proposalCENTRAL account.

Each applicant must have a minimum of two (2) letters of reference stating the specific project the resident will be working on and the specific time committed to the project. Letters are required from the Resident Program Director, confirming a specific plan to ensure adequate time for the resident to complete the project within the time frame of the funding; and from a mentor, confirming the specific relationship with the resident and a plan for mentoring. The mentor should be listed as the Co-PI on the application.

Applicants will be notified about the status of grant awards through proposalCENTRAL by September 2019.
