Opportunity for USA, Canada, and International individuals, start-ups, and small and medium-sized companies to participate in a competition, win a cash prize of $20,000, and receive technology support. Funding will be awarded to proposals that offer the best and most innovative solutions to one of four financial/technological challenges. The competition is open to companies that believe they can change the way finance works and how banks meet their clients' needs.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible to participate in the Competition, entrants must either be:
- Individuals of 21 years of age or older; and
- Not subject to any bankruptcy or insolvency proceedings or any proceedings relating to the protection of rights of creditors;
OR
- Start-ups or small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that are ongoing business concerns; and
- Received less than US$200 million in total financing to date; and
- Have an annual turnover of less than US$200 million.

Pre-Application Information:

The Competition closes on August 15, 2019, 11:59 PM CET.

Proposals will be reviewed between July 6, 2019 and September 15, 2019. During this time, representatives of UBS may contact Participants by telephone to discuss their Proposals and to obtain further clarification and information, as necessary. Not every participant will be contacted.

A shortlist of not more than ten (10) Participants for each Challenge will be chosen and announced no later than September 15, 2019. The Competition will be carried out through three (3) Challenge-themed events, according to the timeline below. One (1) winner per Challenge (i.e. four (4) Challenge Winners in total) will be chosen and announced upon the conclusion of each Event.

Event Winners will be chosen and announced upon the conclusion of the Competition on October 25, 2019.

Timeline:
- July 5, 2019: Challenge Launch
- August 15, 2019: Submission deadline
- September 2019: Mentoring and pitch coaching

Regional Finals:
- Zurich: October 7 and 8, 2019 (Challenge 3)
- Singapore: October 9 and 10, 2019 (Challenge 2)
- New York City: October 29 and 30 (Challenges 1 and 4)

There is no limit on the number of Proposals that can be submitted by a Participant.

All Event Finalists are responsible for organizing and paying for their own travel arrangements to and from the relevant Event Location and their home location, as well as for their accommodations. However, if a Participant is selected as an Event Finalist, UBS will provide the Event Finalist with a limited travel reimbursement to defray the actual costs incurred by the Event Finalist to travel to the relevant Event Location, limited to the amounts listed on page 5-6 in the Guidelines.
